Leland Cortez is a versatile and multi-faceted artist. His love for music rests at the core of his work; it is his driving passion. His musicianship manifests itself in a multitude of ways. He studies Music Production & Engineering at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Leland began his Berklee journey at the First Year Abroad program in Valencia, Spain, where he explored the curiosity for production that he first discovered in high school. He attended Pasadena Waldorf High School and was fortunate to learn from experienced staff who guided him through the basics of production. Having graduated from Colburn Community School, Leland is an accomplished french horn player. His french horn studies are continued at Berklee, where he additionally plays guitar, bass, banjo, organ, recorder, trumpet, and cornet. 

Outside of his musical endeavors, Leland’s creativity has many outlets. He is an avid photographer, often capturing nature’s finest details and manipulating them into expressive, abstract works of graphic design. He has created, performed in, filmed, edited, and released several music videos and one short film (Ponty Mython and the Righteous Mug.) He is a seasoned blacksmith and has been fabricating knives since 2020.
